A Timeless Tribute: Celebrating the Bard of Avon

On 23 April 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare, Swarnprastha Public School hosted a vibrant special assembly titled *Celebrating Shakespeare.* The programme commenced with a soulful recitation of “All The World’s A Stage” from As You Like It, setting a reflective and contemplative tone.

The mood soon shifted to a lively, foot-tapping medley that seamlessly wove together some of Shakespeare’s most enduring phrases—“break the ice,” “the green-eyed monster,” “to be or not to be”, etc.

The highlight of the assembly was a gripping enactment from *Julius Caesar,* where students delivered powerful performances that resonated with intensity and emotion—capturing moments of drama “in one fell swoop,” echoing with “sound and fury,” and ultimately coming “full circle.”

Adding depth to the celebration, a “Knowing Shakespeare” presentation offered fascinating insights into the Bard’s life and legacy. The assembly concluded on an engaging note with an Inter-House Quiz, bringing together enthusiasm, knowledge, and a shared appreciation for Shakespeare’s timeless brilliance.
