SRM Workshop

Smart Use, Not Misuse

An expert session on “Smart Use, Not Abuse: Antibiotics and You” was conducted by SRM University Delhi NCR, Sonepat, at Swarnprastha Public School on 4 December 2025. Prof. V. Samuel Raj, Registrar and Dean Academics, SRM, explained antimicrobial resistance and the scientific basis of traditional Indian household practices. He also highlighted the supportive role of probiotics and stressed that antibiotics do not work against viruses. The session was highly interactive, enlightening and engaging for students. Dr. Anjali Priyadarshini, Professor and Head of Biomedical Engineering, SRM, reinforced the learning by engaging students through a quiz, one minute extempore and lively role play as viruses.
