Nava Setu Programme – AI Integration in School Education

The Nava Setu Programme, an initiative by the Amrita Vidyapeetham – School of Artificial Intelligence, aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence meaningfully and ethically into school education.

An AI Summit was conducted today by the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita University, led by Dr. Kamal Bijlani, Dean, along with other senior faculty members. The seminar focused on the role of AI in transforming teaching learning practices and preparing future ready learners.

Following the seminar, educators from various schools actively participated in an open discussion to deliberate on building an ethical framework for integrating AI into the school curriculum. The dialogue emphasized responsible AI use, student safety, teacher empowerment and curriculum alignment.

It was assured that Amrita Vidyapeetham will extend comprehensive support, including training and capacity building programmes for teachers and students, to facilitate effective AI adoption in schools.

Post discussion, participants were given a guided visit to India’s largest 2600-bedded multispecialty hospital, Amrita Hospital Faridabad, offering exposure to advanced healthcare infrastructure and specialized departments.

Mr. A. K. Paliwal and Mr. Arjun Dhama represented the school at the summit.

The AI Summit was highly fruitful and collaboration under the Nava Setu Programme will significantly benefit teachers and students, adding strong value and innovation to the school’s academic framework.
