Welcome To 'SWARNPRASTHA' School
Celebrating the Bard's Legacy
A grand celebration was organised at Swarnprastha Public School on 23rd April 2025, to commemorate the Bard of Avon, Shakespeare's 560th birth anniversary. As the students explored the richness of his legacy, they realised that "the world is their oyster”. Beginning with a heartfelt tribute to the Bard, the speaker reminded the audience that “we are such stuff as dreams are made on”, capturing the magic of Shakespeare's influence. A drama titled "Much Ado About English" took the audience on a rollercoaster ride through iconic lines, including “to be or not to be”, “in a pickle” and “all the world’s a stage”, as characters navigated the complexities of language. The grand finale, an Inter House Poetry Recitation Competition- Class 6 to 8, saw students passionately recite verses that echoed Shakespeare's timeless wisdom, reinforcing that “Brevity is the soul of wit”. It was indeed a celebration sprinkled with brilliance. Shakespeare has taught us to move on from "It’s all Greek" to "make your mind a garden of flowers”.
